Spaghetti Bolognese

Simple and tasty spaghetti bolognese recipe.

Ingredients Method
Main 1. Medium heat, add oil.
1 tbsp oil 2. Add finely chopped onions, carrots & garlic. Fry and stir till soft (10min).
2 medium onions (finely chopped) 3. Add mince. Medium-high heat, stirring till meat is browned (3-4min).
3 carrots (finely chopped) 4. Add whole tomatoes, rosemary, basil, oregano, bay leaves, tomato puree, beef stock cube, red wine & cheery tomatoes. Bring to boil.
2 garlic cloves (finely chopped) 5. Reduce to simmer and cover with a lid, stirring occasionally (1hr).
500g bolognese mince (beef & pork) 6. Cook spaghetti (follow instructions on packet).
Sauce 7. Drain spaghetti and stir into bolognese.
800g whole tomatoes (tinned) 8. Serve, topped with parmesan.
1 tsp rosemary  
1 tsp basil  
1 tsp oregano  
3 bay leaves  
2 tbsp tomato puree  
1 beef stock cube  
150ml red wine  
10 cherry tomatoes (cut in half)  
Serve  
500g spaghetti  
100g parmesan cheese (grated)
